I think I may be getting back into the grove if things. Well I kind of have to since this it’s my full-time gig now.
Anyways another project is done. This was actually for a client who had some pretty fabric gifted to her and needed something made. With a few months and inspiration pictures, this is what we came up with.
I like to work smart and not hard and so I didn’t find a need of creating a pattern. There was a perfect pattern I had that I could tweak around and use.
I used Mimi G’s Simplicity S8830 and after a bit of research didn’t see many who had made it, but in true Mimi G style there was amazing video tutorial that I followed along to.
Skill level I would say is advanced beginner to intermediate with skills in sewing button holes and buttons and adding collars. These are the changes I made :
– Left out the pockets
– added high-low peplum at waist
– shortened sleeves and left out cuffs
– slightly shortened the collar
Client was happy with the make (of-course she picked out the style)
